A Fairy Tale Wedding at Royal Ridge Forest Creek
After months of preparation and anticipation, the day had finally come for Breanne and Andrew. The decorations were in place, the guests were arriving, and what seemed to the rest of the world to be just another Saturday, was transformed into a scene from a dream-worthy fairy tale.
While the weather was a bit cold for butterflies, they showed up in abundance for the couple's "First Look". You could feel the nervous excitement in the air as the beautiful Bride approached her waiting Groom. Entering from behind him and careful not to spoil the surprise, she slowly got closer. You could hear a pin drop as she got close enough to wrap her arms around him. As he turned to face her, the magic of that moment was nothing short of an epic love story. The coolness of the day was overtaken by the warmth of their smiles as they gazed at one another for the first time in their wedding attire.
From that second forward, the magic moments multiplied. There was energy in the air as the music announced the entrance of the Bride. The world stood still as she made her way down the aisle to her anxiously awaiting Groom. And then...perhaps the most magical moment of them all. Everyone was silent as the minister introduced the Unity Braid, a wooden sign, mounted to a cross, that bore the inscription of Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. Attached were three separate chords, one to represent the Groom, another to represent the Bride, and the third to represent God. We watched in wonder as the couple took turns braiding the three chords together, symbolizing the foundation of faith on which they were building their marriage.
Not to be outdone, the rest of the ceremony was just as awe-inspiring. As the minister pronounced them "Husband and Wife", the happy couple shared a kiss worthy of the record books. Everyone clapped and cheered as the celebration of love began. However, in the midst of all of the excitement, one more bit of magic happened. Now, this special moment was not witnessed by many, but it was one that was moving nonetheless.
For just a moment, between the ceremony and the ensuing celebration, the newlyweds slipped away. Tucked behind the barn, with just a camera as their witness, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in close. "We did it. We're married", he whispered as they rested in each other's embrace. No bells or whistles, no claps or cheers, just the sound of two young lovers, falling over and over again, into their own little fairy tale love.
