The Lannings Vow Renewal | Salt River, AZ
It was 7th grade when we met. We’d dream of our husbands and the life we’d have. We talked about our future kids and the adventures we’d experience. Throughout the years, we’ve seen each other’s ups and we’ve seen each other’s downs. So when I got the phone call asking if I would photograph their 10-year Vow Renewal, I couldn’t say “book the flight” fast enough!
As we explored the beautiful Arizona desert, I couldn’t think of a more stunning location for Katie and Randy’s Vow Renewal. There were cactuses, trees, red rock mountains, and even a sparking river; each perfect in its own way! I’ve walked through the valleys and the mountain tops with these two (literally and figuratively) while watching their love blossom into something bigger and stronger with each passing day.
I couldn’t help but get a little choked up as Katie and Randy exchanged their vows. It wasn’t anything over the top, but it was uniquely intimate and extremely special. Encompassed by the serene Arizona backdrop, Katie poured out her heart…
“…Today as we step into a new chapter, a new decade together, raising our boys and pushing forward in this life: I vow to continue to love you, with every part of me. I vow to be your biggest support, and your biggest cheerleader. I vow to continue to grow with you, and always strive to be the best version I can be for you and our beautiful boys,,,”
Then Randy…
“…What I didn’t know 10 years ago is where our story would lead. The highest of highs the lowest of lows, we couldn’t plainly see. But what we’ve learned and I know for sure is we make an incredible team…”
We laughed, we cried, we remembered, and we hoped. To say the least, this day was perfect!
Katie and Randy, I’m so proud of you both. Thank you for being an incredible example and allowing me to capture your special day. Congratulations on 10 years of marriage. I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years hold!!
