Beck + Joey | Maternity Session | Garvan Woodland Gardens

Spring maternity sessions are so special! It’s so lovely to see God create something so beautiful in the trees and flowers!

In my entirely biased opinion, there was no better place to do this maternity session than the famous Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Beck and Jovy asked me to capture their sweet memories of Jovy carrying their first baby, a sweet baby boy! They wanted to be surrounded by the beautiful outdoors. They could not have picked a better day for this maternity photoshoot! The weather was slightly chilly but the sunshine was a nice relief from the dreary weather we had prior to this wonderful sunshine. All of the trees and flowers were in full bloom from the Japanese Cherry Blossoms to the tulips, it was a gorgeous day!

While I was doing their photoshoot I kept thinking about the comparison of springtime blooms to Jovy blossoming with her pregnancy. They say that when you’re pregnant there is a glow, let me tell you, Jovy was glowing just as much as the sunshine in her lovely blue dress. 

As we walked through Garvan Woodland Gardens, I was thrilled that they chose to take photos in front of the waterfall and lakefront! I love a water feature background in pictures, especially on beautiful spring days like this day! 

Beck and Jovy are originally from Hot Springs. They moved away for a while and decided that when they were going to have a family they wanted to raise their little boy around his extended family in the same place they were raised. They love all of the nature and mountains in Hot Springs. 

Beck and Jovy, thank you for allowing me to capture these wonderful memories of your lovely family! It was such a joy to spend the day with you both!
