Capturing memories for Shelby and Brock was such an incredible experience! They chose an intimate micro wedding at the beautiful Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
I loved the authenticity of their love for one another in sharing their intimate wedding ceremony. The wedding was with Shelby, Brock, the officiant, and myself.
They chose to keep the wedding small so that they could cherish every moment without worrying about small details like bridesmaids, groomsmen, invitations, flowers, and so much more. This was one of the most genuine moments I have been blessed to witness.
Often when I photograph weddings I get to hear about some of the struggles that the bride and groom face.
I have a friend who almost “fired” a bridesmaid the night before the wedding due to some disagreements that the bridesmaid had with the bride about the bride’s wedding.
I have heard stories where family members try to micromanage every detail of the wedding making the bride and groom miserable.
I know these are two very unique instances, but they are both very real. The joy in intimate micro weddings is that those stressful details do not become an issue.
Shelby and Brock were able to profess their undying love to one another without any distractions. It was very obvious how madly in love they are with one another. They chose a micro wedding so that they would be married before they went on a trip of a lifetime.

It was such an honor for you to ask me to join you on your very special day. I know that there are hundreds of photographers you could have asked to document your day, yet you chose me. I know that may not seem like much, but I want to express how genuinely honored I am that you chose me to be one of the four people to watch you profess your love to one another. This was a day that I will remember for a lifetime. I pray that you have a great trip and a happy lifetime together.
