Mapping Your Path to Success: A Step-by-Step Guide to Goal Planning

Hi Friend,

Who likes the Enneagram??? You HAVE to tell me what number you are. I could talk about this stuff all day! I'm Enneagram 3, so beware. I love organizing, planning, and achieving all the things.

Even if you don’t know your final destination, but you have a direction on where you’re headed you can reverse engineer.

I’ve found this to be so important... when it comes to everyday life as a wife and mama as well as how it applies in business too, which we’ll talk about later in this blog (or my love letter to you).

I believe this is the key to getting things done.

But now, let's talk about how this applies to our everyday life and/or business. Same concept as above with reverse engineering, take your BIG goals and break them down into bite size pieces.

What is that one thing you’re wanting to achieve?

When we can laser focus on one goal, we’re more likely to achieve it than trying to tackle 5 goals at once.

STEP 1: Take a moment and write down your top 5 business dreams.

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

Step 2: If you achieved one of those goals, which one would help move the needle closer to each of the other dreams?

Got it? Great! Focus on that ONE dream.  The one that will help all the other ones fall into place. That’s your foundational dream.

Now, write out EVERYTHING that needs to happen to accomplish that dream.

Go for it, grab your cup of choice (for me it’s always coffee), and do it right now. Take each of those steps, and work backward.

Taking that BIG DREAM - break it down into monthly, weekly, and then daily action steps.

The biggest part --------- DON’T GIVE UP!

Girlfriend, it’s easy I know. I’m a 3 remember? When I don’t see immediate results I want to move on to the next thing. But fight the urge. It’s worth pushing through.

I’d love to chat! Find me on Instagram if you want to dive deeper into this topic.
